Contracting officers may enter into contracts with: (i) Schools and colleges of medicine, osteopathy, dentistry, podiatry, optometry, and nursing; (ii) Clinics; and (iii) Any other group or individual capable of furnishing such scarce medical specialist services at VA facilities, to include the services of physicians, dentists, podiatrists, optometrists, chiropractors, nurses, physician assistants, expanded-function dental auxiliaries, technicians, and other medical support personnel. 7409) The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 intends to award a sole source, fixed price indefinite delivery contract to Polk County Community Family and Youth Services 2309 Euclid Ave, Des Moines, Iowa 50310. This contract will cover the Pro Rata expenses for On Call Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and the Sexual Assault Response Team to administer sexual assault examinations and rape kits to Veterans in need of those services at the Des Moines VAMC 3600 30th St. Des Moines, Iowa 50310. The Sexual Assault Examination services will be provided in accordance with the Polk County SART procedures and will be consistent with the Veterans Health Administration standards and practices.

The vendor must be within a 30 minute drive of the Des Moines VAMC due to the emergent nature of the services provided. The North American Industry Classification System code for this requirement is 624190 and the service code is Q529. While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.

The Government understands that Clay County Detoxification Services is the only vendor that can provide the requested services. However, vendors that believe they can provide the capabilities required to fully meet the Government's requirement may submit information in writing to Michael.cotton@va.gov by 12:00PM Central Time on March 11, 2025. Such documentation will be reviewed solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
