The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 intends to award a sole source, firm fixed contract for a Service Agreement, for a base and four option periods, to Minnesota Medical Specialist. The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contract will provide services for 2 (two) Tuttnauer Autoclave Sterilizers located in Building 49 at the Minneapolis VAMC.
The Tuttnauer Autoclave Sterilizers are required to have preventive services performed semi-annually by a factory trained service technician, according to manufacturer specifications. Minnesota Medical Specialist has an authorized factory trained service technician who is qualified to perform the required maintenance. Tuttnauer does not have another authorized third-party service provider in this region to perform maintenance and repairs on these sterilizers.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement no later than May 24, 2024, at 17:00 CST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement, Notice of Intent. If after May 24, 2024, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with Minnesota Medical Specialist.
