Condenser and Coil Replacement American Lake VA Medical Center at BLDG 81 The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to perform the following tasks for Building 81 at American Lake VA Medical Center: Replace the AHU-5 Inter-City Products unit evaporator coil, refrigeration piping (100 feet), insulation, and outdoor condensing unit. Replace AHU-9 McQuay unit evaporator coil, rooftop condensing unit, and refrigeration piping (100 feet). Ensure compliance with VA safety, mechanical, and environmental requirements. Specific tasks:

Task 1: Inter-City Products( AHU-5)

Unit Replacement Evaporator Coil Replacement: Provide and install a custom evaporator coil with a stainless condensate pan.

Refrigeration Piping: Replace approximately 100 feet of refrigeration piping through constrained spaces. Provide and install new neoprene insulation.

Outdoor Condensing Unit Replacement: Remove the existing Inter-City Products 828L (SN#R914500010) condensing unit. Install a new outdoor condensing unit, ensuring compatibility with the custom coil and piping. Rework condensate piping to fit the new stainless condensate pan.

Task 2: McQuay Unit (AHU-9)

Replacement Evaporator Coil Replacement: Provide and install a new evaporator coil with a stainless condensate pan.

Refrigeration Piping: Replace refrigeration piping (<100 feet) and provide neoprene insulation as an optional item.

Outdoor Condensing Unit Replacement: Remove the existing Carrier 256N (SN#4786E97291) rooftop condensing unit using a boom truck. Install a new rooftop condensing unit, ensuring compatibility with the new coil and piping. All work shall be completed with minimal disruptions to patient care, scheduling shall be discussed and okayed by the project COR. Contractor shall provide: Boom truck for rooftop unit placement. Mechanical tools for piping, insulation, and coil installation. Refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging equipment. Safety equipment to meet VA and OSHA standards.
