NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Subject: Intent to Sole Source IAW 5.301(d)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO 20) on behalf of VISN 20 Northwest Healthcare Network intends to award a one-year firm-fixed price contract to ABBOTT LABORATORIES, located at 100 ABBOTT PARK RD ABBOTT PARK, IL 60064 to provide Abbott EnSite and Claris annual PM services, and technical support service at the Puget Sound VA Medical Center.
This decision is made under the authority of 41 USC §3304(a)(5), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or J065 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PUGET SOUND VAMC Required by Statute). The contract value may be up to $5,000,000. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, and no solicitation will be made.
Interested parties verified in SAM may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement that includes an authorization/certification letter from the OEM manufacturer/supplier ABBOTT LABORATORIES, verifying the ability to provide software license, technical maintenance, equipment calibrations, and support services in compliance with OEM specifications, not later than the close date of this notification.
The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required OEM services. The determination not to compete this proposed contract upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement J065 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PUGET SOUND VAMC.
After the notification close date, the Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with ABBOTT LABORATORIES. Phone calls will NOT be accepted. The Contract Specialist point of contact for this action can be reached at Alan.Perez@VA.Gov.
