Intent to Source - Smith & Nephew Surgery Total Hip Kit

The Department of Veterans Affairs, the Boise VA Medical Center, Boise, Idaho intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Buffalo Supply Inc., 1650 Coal Creek DR Lafayette, Colorado 80026. This proposed action is to purchase Smith & Nephew Surgery Total Hip Kit. This will be a one-time purchase, firm-fixed price contract. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C.

253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.303-2 and FAR 13. This is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contract Specialist within 5 calendar days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by 09/03/2024 12:00pm Pacific Time.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. This notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-05 dated 05/22/2024.
