South Texas VA Specialized Reference Lab Testing

Sources Sought Notice This notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation of the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses to this notice will be used for informational purposes only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs from the Government will arise as a result from a response to this announcement. No contract will be awarded from this notice.

The information requested in this notice will be used to determine if there are sufficient socioeconomic small business concerns that are capable of performing the work described for the requirement.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is seeking sources for the following procurement: South Texas Specialized Reference Lab Testing; Contractor shall provide reference laboratory services to the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service of the South Texas VA Health Care System (STVHCS), Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, located at 7400 Merton Minter, San Antonio, TX 78229. See Statement of Work.

BACKGROUND South Texas Veterans Health Care System Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services (P&LMS) 7400 Merton Minter San Antonio, TX 78229 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The contractor/reference laboratory shall provide, in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, laws, and ordinances, and in accordance with the specifications outlined for accreditation certification if applicable, contractor/reference laboratory testing to the South Texas VAHCS in accordance with the Statement of Work herein.

The contractor/reference laboratory shall provide services to include the performance of analytical testing as defined by the Laboratory s test manual, the reporting of analytical test results and consultative services regarding selection, collection, transportation and result interpretation as required to assimilate the full scope of its laboratory operations to STVHCS.

All requirements and provisions defined in the specifications of this statement of work will apply to any laboratory, i.e., branch, division, sub-Reference Laboratory, etc. performing reference testing on behalf of the Reference Laboratory. See attached SOW for the performance requirements.
