Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a firm-fixed priced contract to FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation for the procurement of the following and services:

0001: Equipment Maintenance Services, Arietta Precision IOUS SMA Ultrasound.

Unit of Issue:

YR, Qty.: 1 Option Items;

1001, 2001, 3001, 4001. Address: VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System, 2601 Veterans Dr., Harlingen, TX 78550. Anticipated Base Period of Performance: 1 March 2024 through 28 February 2025 The proposed sole source procurement will be made by a pricing agreement with FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation.

The requesting activity has submitted a sole source letter from FUJIFILM stating that they (HCUS) are the exclusive manufacturer, sales, and service agent in the United States and Canada for all of its manufactured ultrasound products and technology. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals.

No contract will be awarded based on offers received in response to this notice; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals or offers received will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government.

If no affirmative written response is received within 7 days from the publication of this notice, a contract or order will be issued to Philips Healthcare without any further notice. The anticipated statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for the requirement is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
