Scanlon Bulldogs ENT

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to negotiate and award a sole-source, firm fixed price, non-personal services contract purchase Scanlon Bulldogs ENT clamps for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), Houston TX. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.

The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), Houston TX has a requirement for a contractor to provide multiple Scanlan reliance bulldog clamps. Based on market research and previous acquisition history, it has been determined that Appleton Medical Services is the only vendor capable of providing the required probes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, quotations, or expressions of interest.

However, interested parties who disagree with this action may submit a letter of interest that demonstrates your firm s technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition to include a rationale for why you should be considered. The Government reserves the right to vet/verify any documentation submitted with the OEM to certify its authenticity. This notice will be distributed solely through this website.

SCOPE OF WORK AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS For Scanlon Bulldogs ENT Background: The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is currently requesting multiple Scanlan reliance bulldog clamps through Appleton Medical Services, Inc. The Scanlan® Reliance Bulldog Clamp has been designed to provide secure, robust clamping pressure to assist in the temporary occlusion of vessels. Manufactured with the highest quality stainless steel, its DeBakey jaws ensure a firm yet atraumatic clamping pressure. A unique suture port allows optional suture tagging to enhance surgical location and recovery.
