Special Notice Notice of Intent to Sole Source PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO16), intends to solicit and award a sole-source, firm fixed price, non-personal services contract with a twelve (12)-month base and four (4) 12-month option periods to:
Canon Medical Informatics, Inc. 5850 Opus Parkway, Suite 300 Minnetonka, MN 55343 UEI SAM: MYXZLL2C9NL4 The Little Rock/Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) is currently seeking a service agreement for the Vitrea Server which will include all phone support and proprietary software updates. Vital Imaging is the manufacturer of Vitrea. Vital Imaging is now a component of Canon Medical. The MX Number is 598 MX2741890. The serial number is 2M22080543.
The contractor shall provide all labor, travel expenses, tools, equipment inspection, personnel service/maintenance, telephone support, and parts required for the maintenance and services of this equipment. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 513210. Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Size standard $47 Million.
It is VHA policy that health care facilities providing care to our nation s Veterans maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory standards that demonstrate the provision of safe advanced standard quality-oriented health care delivery. Based on market research it has been determined that Canon Medical Informatics, Inc is the only vendor capable of providing the required service plan for maintenance and service for critical Vitrea equipment.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, quotations, or expressions of interest. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice. However, interested parties who disagree with this action may submit a letter of interest that demonstrate your firm s technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition to include a rationale for why you should be considered.
Interested parties shall submit clear evidence with an AUTHORIZATION LETTER from Canon Medical Informatics, communicating authorization to support its Vitrea server equipment, capability to provide technicians, maintenance service, parts, and supplies. Contractor shall be an authorized contractor, train technician, possess licenses and certification for Canon proprietary equipment and services to meet all Government requirements and objectives.
The Government reserves the right to verify any documentation submitted with Canon Medical Informatics. Interested parties may identify their interest solely via email to Contract Specialist, Carmyn E Williams, Carmyn.Williams@va.gov no later than Tuesday, January 7, 2025, 10:00AM Central Standard Time (CST). When responding to this announcement, respondents should include 36C25625Q0232 Notice of Intent in the subject line. Late responses shall not be accepted.
No telephone inquiries will be accepted nor will phone calls be returned. Only emailed responses will be considered. Information received will be utilized solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon response to this notice is at the sole discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
