Chiller 1 Condenser Water Pump VFD Replacement

Sources Sought The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, Central Texas Health Care System (CTVHCS) equipment located Alexandria Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (ALXVAHCS) Pineville, LA 71360, Building 147, Central Cooling Plant intends to issue a contract for the Chiller #1 Condenser Water Pump VFD Replacement.

The VA plans to purchase (1) replacement 75 horsepower, 480v, 3-phase condenser water pump VFD to be installed in place of the current ABB Inc. VFD Model Number ACH550-BCR-097A-4+F267+N2006 with Serial Number 2204203831. The contractor will furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform all work associated with supply and install of Facility Chiller #1 Condenser Water Pump Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) at the Alexandria Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (ALXVAHCS) Pineville, LA 71360, Building 147, Central Cooling Plant.

The VA intends to solicit a contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The VA anticipates awarding a contract on or about 05/30/2024. This is a Sources Sought. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance which has a Small Business Size Standard of $12.5M. This Sources Sought is not a request for competitive proposals.

However, in accordance with FAR 5.207 (c) (16) (ii), all responsible sources that feel they can fulfill this requirement may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the VA. Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement, and include:

Dun & Bradstreet Number, and the Taxpayer Identification Number, along with documentation that the vendor is an authorized service provider of the equipment listed. All respondents must have an active registration in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov.

Interested Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) must be listed as verified on the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) database located at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov in order to receive contract awards under the Veterans First Contracting Program. A determination by the VA not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VA.
