THOMPSON SURGICAL RETRACTORS Sole Source Brand Name Only

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a single source award of a firm-fixed-price (FFP) type contract with Thompson Surgical Instruments, Inc. of Traverse City, MI to provide Thompson Surgical Retractors to the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, IL. The authority for applying the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR Subpart 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented to restrict competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2).

The NAICS Code is 339112 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored.

However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services to the Contract Specialist within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis.
