Intent to Sole Source Preventative Maintenance/Service Agreement Dornier Genesis

Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Aleda E. Lutz, Facilities Management Services (138), 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602-5251 in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 Only one (1) Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency Requirements and Intends to Negotiate on a Sole Source Basis with the following vendor: Dornier MedTech America, Inc. 1155 Roberts Blvd Kennesaw, Georgia 30144 Dornier MedTech America Inc. will provide Preventative Maintenance and Services, Dynamic Care SM on the Government owned Genesis Urology Tables.

All services provided under this contract must be performed in conformance with the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), ISO 9001:2008 Quality Control Certified, and Original Equipment Manufacturer standards and specifications. Dornier MedTech America is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this equipment and operational software and has certified, trained technicians to ensure the equipment and software are running at full capacity.

Dornier MedTech America, Inc. can provide the necessary equipment that is required to repair the equipment with the least amount of downtime. Dornier MedTech America Inc. currently does not have certified third-party distributors to work on or service their hardware/software/equipment and would void all manufacturers warranties that are covered on the equipment and software that the facility has purchased.

Dornier MedTech America Inc. is the only firm capable of providing the supplies and services above without the Veteran s Health Administration experiencing substantial duplication of cost that could not be expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling its requirements.
