DC-DC Convertor Replacement

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirement. The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center Located in Indianapolis, IN intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with Medtronic Technical Services. They are located at 15 Hampshire Street Mansfield, MA 02048. Medtronic shall provide the equipment and services required to replcace the DC-DC convertors needed for the ideal output of the PB980 Ventilators.

This equipment was recalled due to a ventilator failure at a VA facility. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Medtronic is the only source available due to their exclusive compatibility to the other components of PB980 Ventilators that are still in service. Medtronic is the only source available who can provide the most seamless exchange of hardware to avoid any interruptions in patient care.

The PB980 Ventilators are currently in use at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 W 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance The size standard - $34 million Product and Service Code (PSC) J065 - Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuild of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Wednesday August 14, 2024 at 12PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.

A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
