Special Notice Special Notice Page 2 of 2 Page 1 of 2 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Hemodialysis Machines The Department of Veterans Affairs Dayton VA Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

The NAICS code is 334510 with a small business size standard of 1,250. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Marathon Medical Corporation, 3251 Lewiston Street, Suite 16, Aurora, CO 80011 for Dialysis Machines. The Dialog+ B Braun machine set standards with its three basic device configurations for extracorporeal blood treatment. Braun dialysis machine system is designed for the global requirements of patient, physicians, and nursing staff.

The integrated and efficient treatment system permits users to have the greatest number of possible configurations in setting up the individual dialysis device. The new generation of the Braun hemodialysis machines, Dialog+ demonstrates numerous comfort improvements for providers and patients. B Braun hemodialysis machine also rigorously meets todays economic and medical needs. Options, accessories and consumables from one partner offer customers a single treatment system that fits together perfectly.

A challenging medical technology of superb quality is combined with intelligent components, with one consistent common denominator: optimal treatment quality for the patients. The Dayton VA Medical Center has a new sole-source requirement for the purchase of twenty (20) B Braun dialysis hemodialysis Systems from SAC contract 36C10G22D0013.

Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11:59pm EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
