Answer: One technician is required on-site during the hours stated in the SOW for the days of Monday through Friday.

Ref: B.3 Performance Work Statement, Page 6, #3. SCOPE.

Scope: The included service, maintenance and repair should include repair of user reported defects, preventative maintenance services, safety inspection, incoming inspection service when new beds and stretchers are purchased by the medical center, manufacturer and VA reported hazard/maintenance alert remediation, technical phone support, 97% uptime guarantee, 4 hours onsite response time, and all parts and labor under a fixed price agreement to ensure equipment operation is in accordance with the manufacturer s specifications for the beds and stretchers listed on the provided inventory.

How is the 97% uptime measured? What is the current readiness rate? In addition, if under 97% how long will the vendor have to achieve the 97% goal? Given the inventory of beds and stretchers in the hospital approximately 97% of them need to be operational at any time. A reasonable time period will be allowed due to parts delays and locating the broken unit.

Ref: B.3 Performance Work Statement, Page 6, #4 Specific Tasks, Part b. Parts and Service. The contractor will supply all necessary repair parts, labor and transportation to restore operation of the equipment included in this agreement during the standard hours of coverage as stated above. This applies to replacement of the parts due to normal wear and due to misuse, abuse, or neglect. Would the Government consider removing the verbiage regarding covered parts and labor repairs due to misuse, abuse, neglect?

If not, would the Government consider adding a CLIN to cover these repairs? The contract language remains as written. A discussion between the CO and COR shall take place to clarify any ambiguity.

Maintenance releases: Contractor will provide and install OEM maintenance releases at no cost to the Cleveland VA Medical Center. 4. A. basic repairs can be performed where the bed is located or in a nearby corridor. Extensive repairs will be conducted in the corridor outside the Machine Shop or in a designated area approved by Engineering/ COR.

Q: Is/was there any non-contracted work performed on these beds/stretchers over the term of the contract? No, the contractor performs all repairs, except for any incidental fault reset that might occur by staff plugging a bed in or moving an obstruction from a sensor. 8. Can the Government provide a list of beds/stretchers that are down for repair or maintenance so the vendor can perform analysis as part of the pricing model? A. The inventory can vary with new purchases.

Manufacturer and model can change with replacement units coming in at various times. Did the hospital make any purchases of any equipment/tools etc. to support the bed program that will be left for the next vendor, if so, can the Government provide this list? Tools will be provided by the contractor including a laptop for software upgrades needed by manufacturer. 10. Regarding the mattresses, if the Government wishes to have these as part of this contract, can a list of that inventory be provided? A.
