Omnicell Anesthesia Work Station (AWS) devices for the nursing and anesthesia staff are compliant with the VA requirements for the control and accurate inventory of restricted medications while providing automated-user-level transactional tracking to improve auditing processes. The AWS expansion program will allow for seamless integration with other systems such as BCMA scanning, Omnicell central server, and Codonics, while providing safe and efficient delivery of medications to the patients.

The AWS s will also support any future EHRM go live initiatives within the Operating Rooms regarding medication administration procedures. A firm fixed price Delivery Order with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal; this is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source a requirement.
