The foot switch is a replacement for the Uroskip Omnia Uro/Litho imaging currently purchased and in use. The X-Ray unit cannot operate as intended without a functional foot switch. The Indianapolis VA Medical Center requires specific brand name supplies to ensure the compatibility with previously purchased X-Ray unit.

This system is high tech, high cost and will require specialized components and vendor training to properly install and configure appropriately with the rest of the X-ray system. Per the HTME Ordering Division, purchasing thresholds, radiology local purchase thresholds are $50,000. The acquisition is less that $15,000 and meets the requirement. MedSurge, GSA, and SAC failed to identify any potential vendors. FPDS clearly identified Siemens Healthineer (Large) as the sole source for this commodity. Exclusive set-aside to SD/VOSB is not permitted.
