This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the interest and capability of small businesses able to meet the requirements listed below.
Specifically, this notice seeks to determine (1) whether any products meeting the requirements are manufactured by Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), or other Small Business, and (2) whether any small businesses, including SDVOSB s and VOSB s, are capable of supplying products meeting the requirements and which are manufactured by small business.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking sources to provide two (2) new drying cabinets that provide fast drying of instruments, equipment, and general items for the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI, 48105. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, and the Business Size Standard is 800 Employees.
The drying cabinets being sought, including installation and optional items, are Steelco brand-name or equal: Product Number Description Quantity SUYSTID3001 ID 300 8-Shelf Single Glass Door Drying Cabinet 2 Each SUYINSTALL Installation, Start-Up, and Training 1 Job OPTIONAL Application of 8 Luer lock connections for cannulated 1 Job Instruments, if needed one per each shelf. Including Integrated air compressor.
OPTIONAL Steelco PM conducts onsite evaluation for equipment 1 Job Fit/placement, utility infrastructure support with owner s General Contractor and/or trades, support delivery/ Installation of Steelco equipment. Equivalent drying cabinets must meet the following requirements: Have full glass doors for rapid visual inspection of stored items. Use indirect UV air treatment to quickly dry instruments, equipment, and general items. Cabinets provide a controlled storage environment with HEPA H14 filtered air flow.
8 stainless steel shelves, removable, adjustable with a total capacity up to 16 DIN 1/1 trays; allows custom configuration. Digital passcode protected control panel with LED display to set working temperature and duration.

Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for SDVOSB or VOSB status must be registered with the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification Program (VetCert). Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102.
