The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA); Readjustment Counseling Service (RCS) is proposing to lease a minimum of 5,655 rentable square feet (RSF) and maximum of 5,937 rentable square feet (RSF) of medical space for a Vet Center in Bakersfield, CA. The space shall be in a quality building, constructed of sound and substantial construction, and shall be compliance with Federal laws and Regulations governing federal leases, building and fire codes, and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In addition, the space offered must be either new, new construction, modernized building, or one that has undergone restoration or rehabilitation for the intended use. All design and construction shall meet the most current VA standards. Lease should be full service. On-site parking for 20 vehicles is required. The term should be 20 years, (5) years firm with a (15) year soft term. To be considered, space must be within midland and bordering a delineated area as follows:

NORTH BOUNDARY:

OLIVE DRIVE SOUTH BOUNDARY:

PANAMA Lane EAST BOUNDARY: COFFEE RD/GOSFORD RD.

WEST BOUNDARY: ALLEN RD Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain.
