The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a One (1) year base period and four (4) option years with Avidity Science, LLC, located at 819 Bakke Ave, Waterford, WI 53185 to obtain preventative maintenance services on existing Avidity equipment to provide automatic water ultra-filtration filtration and environmental monitoring for the animals housed in the animal facility. Avidity Science Pulse System equipment is proprietary and patented.

The preventative maintenance service contract must be through Avidity to maintain the warrantee. Avidity Science is the only vendor that can provide the specialized research services required. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities on SAM.gov. The applicable NAICS code is 811210 with a $34 MIL size standard. The PSC is J065.

The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
