Intent to Sole Source Shockwave Medical INC Shockwave Intravascular Lithotripsy system (ILS) parts/items

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 9, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Nashville Medical Center and Network Contracting Office (NCO) 09 intends to issue and award a Sole Source single award Firm-Fixed Price type contract to SHACKWAVE MEDICAL INC., for the items listed below in association with the Shockwave Intravascular Lithotripsy system for coronary and vascular arteries, the only manufacturer and distributor of this equipment. The facilities within VISN 9 that will be included in this are as follows:

Home VA Medical Center Lamont Street & Veterans Way, Johnson City, TN 37684 Tennessee Valley Healthcare System 1310 24th Ave South, Nashville, TN 37212 It has been determined that through initial Market Research, only 1 (one) responsible source can provide the required equipment as identified below, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements .

All responsible sources may identify their interest to meet this requirement to Scott Dickey by 11:00 am (CST), Thursday, July 18, 2024. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the government by providing the following:

If not, please NOTE: any future solicitation could only be awarded to a contractor who is registered in SAM. To receive award based on VOSB or SDVOSB status you must be registered in the VetBiz Registry.

Authorization to Perform: Prospective non-OEM contractors MUST provide an authorization letter from SHOCKWAVE MEDICAL INC. identifying they are authorized to provide the required Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts/equipment.
