Special Notice DESCRIPTION Intent to Sole Source- Medtronic SPECIAL NOTICE: 36C24924Q0191 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole-source firm-fixed priced contract to Medtronic, 710 Medtronic Parkway | Minneapolis, MN 55432-5604 | USA.

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and on behalf of the Louisville Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 9 intends to issue an open market sole source firm-fixed priced contract to Medtronic, located at 710 Medtronic Parkway | Minneapolis, MN 55432-5604.

The rationale for the sole source acquisition is that Medtronic (Large Business) is the only source responsible for providing the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) four (4) year extended warranty for the Situate Detection System X. Medtronic is the sole source distributor of the four (4) year extended warranty for the Situate Detection System X. Medtronic sells directly to the end-user facilities, so no agents or dealers are authorized to represent this product (Four-year extended warranty to support the product Situate Detection System X.
