Statement of Need GENERAL: The purpose of this Statement of Need (SON) is to facilitate the expansion of our temperature and humidity monitoring system, TempTrak, at the Bay Pines VAMC, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Fl 33744, their off-site CBOC s BACKGROUND: The Bay Pines VAMC currently utilizes TempTrak for the monitoring of the Pharmacy and Laboratory Service refrigerators and freezers temperature. We would like to expand the monitoring capabilities to the Patient Nourishment refrigerators and freezers at the Bay Pines VAMC. The room temperature and Humidity sensors at the CBOC s need to be upgraded to have a digital display to view the temperature and humidity at the sensor.
PURPOSE: This SON defines the requirements for the delivery and installation of temperature and humidity monitoring equipment from TempTrak.
SCOPE: Contractor shall install name brand TempTrak equipment used to provide temperature monitoring. Delivery and installation shall be determined post award of the contract.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS for Bay Pines VAMC: The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, hardware, and accessories. The Contractor shall install 25 Dual Chamber sensor in the Patient Nourishment refrigerator/ freezers at Bay Pines VAMC. The Contractor shall install 9 waterproof temperature sensors in the refrigerators at the Fisher Houses. The Contractor shall provide 3 Base Stations for inventory stock. The Contractor shall test new equipment for proper operation.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS for Bay Pines CBOC s: The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, hardware, and accessories. The Contractor shall install 25 temperature and humidity sensors in the CBOC s critical rooms. Contractor shall test new equipment for proper operation.
FUNCTIONAL & PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS for Bay Pines VAMC: Temperature sensors for 25 refrigerators Waterproof temperature sensors for 9 refrigerators 3 base stations for back up inventory All sensors must be connected to and compatible with the existing TempTrak server and interface.
FUNCTIONAL & PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS for Bay Pines CBOC: Temperature and Humidity sensors for 25 critical rooms. All sensors must be connected to and compatible with the existing TempTrak server and interface.
REGULATORY: The contractor shall be responsible to ensure that all contractor employees follow guidelines set forth by OSHA, NFPA70, 70E, ASSE, and the Department of Veterans Affairs Safety and Health Requirements, and security procedures at this facility. Smoking is not permitted outside authorized areas on campus.
DELIVERABLES: All items to be delivered/installed within 90 days of purchase order processing and order placement. Deliveries shall be scheduled during working hours: Monday through Friday from 0800-1630. Deliveries should be on the same weekday if it is not a holiday. Contractor shall not deviate from these hours.
