Medical Gases - Facility / OPC / CBOC

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE SHORT TERM CONTRACT TO MEDICAL EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES OF AMERICA LLC (MESA) in support of Medical Gases to Orlando VA Healthcare System, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827. Proposed contract duration, including monthly option periods is approximately one month, with two options to extend for one additional month each. This procurement is being conducted IAW FAR 13.106-1(b).

The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 325120 and the Small Business Administration size standard is 1,200 employees. The current Federal Acquisition Circular is 2025-03 dated 01/17/2025. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Any response received will be considered for the purpose of determining sources for future procurements. The Government will not pay for the information submitted.

This will be the only notice of the Government intent to solicit, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement. This notice is to communicate the intent to award a short-term sole source contract to MESA for the provision of medical gases. Due to urgent time constraints and immediate need to ensure continuity of supply for critical medical operations, a competitive procurement process is not feasible at this time.

MESA is the only known vendor capable of meeting our current technical and delivery requirements within the necessary timeframe. This Sole Source arrangement is intended as an interim solution, while we prepare and review the offers received from a competitive solicitation for a new long-term contract.
