FY 25 Molecular Random Access Analyzer Notification of Intent to Sole Source

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 8 intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR part 8.405-6 (1)(B). The associated NAICS code for this service is 334516 with a size standard of 1,000 and PSC Code 6640.The identified vendor is Cepheid. Cepheid is the sole service provider for Molecular Random Access Analyzers for Puerto Rico.

This test is the only test which meets the government s requirement for conducting combinations of rapid test simultaneously with results in less than three (3) hours. This information has been confirmed with an exclusivity letter submitted by Cepheid. A service contract for a base year of 12 month and four (4) option periods of twelve (12) month is anticipated and shall be awarded. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers.

No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
