Lakeland 022 Refrigerators GENERAL: The VA s Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Lakeland, FL located at 2080 Meadowbrook Park Blvd, Lakeland, FL, has a requirement for Refrigerators throughout the newly built Lakeland CBOC facility. These units have been proven to be reliable throughout the VA Network.

BACKGROUND: The current Lakeland VA CBOCs will be combining into one new facility and will be expanding services to better serve the local veteran community. This new facility has requirements for new medical refrigerators. The procurement of the items listed below and in this package is required for the activation of the new facility.

SCOPE: James A. Haley is requesting contractors provide the Helmer brand name only medical refrigerators to meet the physical, functional, and performance of the listed salient characteristics in this section. This brand name only request is due to the interoperability of the Helmer product line with Pyxis. The Tampa VA and its subordinate clinics utilize Pyxis for the medical dispensing requirements, therefore any addition to the Lakeland CBOC should be congruent with the current inventory supported by Pyxis to ensure continuous operation. The medical refrigerators will be used to support clinical efficiency, design, and patient care.

FUNCTIONAL AND PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must provide the following functional and performance capability based on industry standards, using recommendations from Nursing Informatics experts, and endorsed by local end-users. Additional function, performance and salient characteristics include:

Refrigerators must be able to operate within the Pyxis operating model Pharmaceutical medical-grade refrigerator must be NSF/ANSI 456 vaccine storage certified.

Items are to be delivered and installed by contractor NLT 30 DAYS ARO.
