FY24: Dental Chairs and Lamps Installation Intent to Sole Source

Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 8 intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b). The associated NAICS code for this service is 339114 with a size standard of 750 Size of Employees and PSC Code J065.The identified vendor is A-dec Inc. as equipment manufacturer authorized.

The contractor A-dec Inc shall be responsible for providing labor, any required materials, miscellaneous equipment parts, tools, skilled personnel, and supervision for the assembly and installation of thirteen (13 each) A-dec 511 Dental Chairs and fourteen (14 each) A-dec 577L LED Light Tracks to existing infrastructure (air, vacuum, water, and electricity) in the Dental Clinic at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The service contract Period of Performance is within 60 days is anticipated and shall be awarded. The A-dec manufactory factory authorized dealer is the only one who can provide all services required for the FY24 Dental Chairs and Lamps Installation at Dental Department VA, San Juan. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, a factory certified field service technician from A-dec Inc. is required to install the chairs and LED lamps, to proper specifications.

The use of any unapproved dealer, third party products, including third party parts will void A-dec s warranty. The lamps and chairs to be assembled and installed were procured by a contract from A-dec Inc which didn t include installation nor assembly of items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available.
