Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Biological Implants

Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Biological Implantable Devices Pursuant to FAR Subpart 6.302-1, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, Tampa, FL, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source to award a fixed priced contract to Edward Lifesciences, One Edwards Way, Irvine, CA. 92614. This single award will establish critical consignment inventory required for immediate surgical procedures. Surgeons have determined these specific products meet specific medical needs.

This notice is not a request for quotes and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. All Products Must Be FDA Approved.
