DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS CONTINUED ACCESS TO THE MARINE BASE IS REQUIRED FOR THE DURATION OF THE ENTIRE CONTRACT Contractor shall provide all material, labor, tools, and equipment to provide comprehensive management of the landscape and greenery. Ground maintenance will include mowing, string trimming, edging, and blowing. Mowing – grass clippings shall be removed or mulched when visible after mowing. All grounds should always look well-manicured.

Edging – sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and other concrete or asphalt edges located on the facility grounds shall be edged at least every other mowing. Edging shall include removal or vegetation from cracks in sidewalks, driveways, and curbs within 0.5 inch of the edged surface and to a depth of 2.0 inches.

String trimming – grass and weeds shall be trimmed around trees, shrubs, buildings, fences, poles, posts, fire hydrants, parking lot bumpers, boulders, etc. Trimming height should match surrounding area grass heights. All areas should be trimmed concurrently with mowing. Damage to trees and shrubs from trimming shall be repaired by the contractor. If a plant should die or become unhealthy due to damage, the contractor shall be responsible for replacing the damaged plant with a plant of the same size and type.

Replacement will occur within 15 days of noticed damage. Blowing - sidewalks, roads, parking lots, stairwells, etc. shall be clear of grass clippings. Quality control and quality assurance. The contractor shall ensure the quality of the services provided through identification, prevention, and ensuring non-recurrence of defective services. The COR shall evaluate the contractor’s performance through weekly discussions with the foreman and provide comments on work performed. Reports Contractor shall provide biweekly reports on work performed and items of note.
