BIRMINGHAM VAMC - BLOOD AND BLOOD PRODUCTS - INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, located at 1826 Veterans Blvd, Dublin, GA 31021, is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government’s intent to execute a Sole Source Award under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 – Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The intend contractor is LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. (Alternate).

The Birmingham VA Medical Center (BVAMC) requires a primary and alternate source for the procurement of blood and blood products by a Blood Bank who is currently registered and/or licensed with the FDA, Department of Health and Human Services pursuant to Section 510 of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended, 21 USC Section 260.
