NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) intends to award a firm-fixed price Purchase Order to Eppendorf North America, Inc., 175 Freshwater Blvd., Enfield, CT 06082. The proposed procurement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 41 U.S.C.

3304(a)(1) - Use of noncompetitive procedures. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) for this requirement is NAICS 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The proposed contract action is to provide epMotion Service Agreement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. Contract for a period of one (1) year plus four (4) option years.

This procurement is for OEM services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment and proprietary software services for VA Medical Centers.

Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts), verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM.

All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation. Interested parties may identify their interest in the requirement and capabilities to Krisanne.Dernago@va.gov by the response date shown above. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.

All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. The information provided shall include detailed (and relevant) documentation to allow the government to perform adequate market research and make a proper determination. A determination by the government to not compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE.
