THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposals, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Network Contracting Office 6 is conducting market research to find vendors that are capable, willing, and certified. We are trying to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to provide laundry services at the Fayetteville VAMC located at 2300 Ramsey St Fayetteville, NC 28301. The scope of the acquisition includes but is not limited to:
Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, facilities, including transportation of linen to contractor owned/contractor operated bulk laundry facility to accomplish the required linen cleaning service and tasks for accomplishment of complete medical laundry services for Fayetteville Veterans Administration Medical Center (FVAMC), located in Fayetteville, NC. All services are to be performed in accordance with standard medical industry practices and quality control measures.
Services shall include pick-up and delivery of items by Contractor personnel. All workmanship shall be in accordance with practices/guidelines established by the National Association of Institutional Linen Management (NAILM), International Fabricare Institute (IFI), Hygienically Clean Healthcare Certified by Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA), Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) and accepted industry standards.
It is intended that services shall include all processes necessary for the laundering and finishing of the articles even though every step involved is not specifically mentioned. All work shall be performed under sanitary conditions as specified by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Provide, daily, pick-up wash, dry, iron, fold and deliver VA Owned linen/laundry to Fayetteville VAMC loading dock.
Pickup/deliver linen at designated times and area: 7:00AM-8:00AM daily Monday -Friday (5 days) to include holidays (unless arranged). Pick-up and delivery times may be changed in order to meet the needs of the VA and as agreed between Contractor and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or designated representative. Clean linen unloaded by contractor personnel at the Medical Center loading/unloading dock area. Soiled linen picked up at Medical Center loading/unloading dock area.
Capacity to handle hospital workload. Provide a written report on a daily basis of the weight of all garments and soiled linen processed and all clean linen delivered. Provide details of the possibility of subcontracting and percentage of work subcontractor will do. Please see (c) below. Provide proof of performing large laundry workload. Please provide the following information if your company is interested in performing these services: In response, please include:
(a) A positive statement of your intent to submit an offer as a prime contractor (capability statement) and answer all above questions via email;
(b) Evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include (c) If any teaming or subcontracting possibilities are contemplated, please provide subcontractor s name and breakdown of labor and its performance costs, contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; (d) Past performance references with points of contact and phone numbers. (e) At least two (2) references are requested, but more are desirable. Responses to this notice should also identify whether or not the firm falls into any of the socioeconomic categories listed below:
