Blood Products for Salisbury/Asheville, NC

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to award a one-year, sole source, firm fixed price contract to The American Red Cross (large business), for Blood and Blood Products for one year for the Charles George VA Medical Center and the W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center.

The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of October 1, 2025. This is not a request for competitive offers, no solicitation is available, and telephone requests will not be accepted. Market research has determined that these items are highly specialized, are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of items will satisfy agency requirements.

However, any business that believes it can provide Blood and Blood Products to these Medical Centers may give written notice to stephanie.mcelmore@va.gov by 10:00am EST on July 25, 2025. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Interested and capable respondents are requested to provide the information below. All responses to this notice shall include:
