Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price base + 4 option year purchase order to ROCHE DIAGNOSTICS CORPORATION.
This order will be for the maintenance and repair service for the Benchmark ULTRA Equipment at the Hampton VA Medical Center located at 100 Emancipation Drive Hampton VA, 23667. This order requires the Service Technician to have original equipment manufacturers (OEM) training on the specific model located in the Hampton VAMC and must have full and unfettered access to all OEM service publications, diagnostic services, and software.
Roche Diagnostics Corporation has been identified as the only authorized dealer who can supply this service. Historical data and market research has determined ROCHE DIAGNOSTICS CORPORATION. is the only source for this service. ROCHE DIAGNOSTICS CORPORATION has been identified as the only capable vendor who can supply this service. Base +4 Option Year Annual Service Maintenance Plan Base Year:

01-01-2028 to 12-31-2028 Option Year 4: 01-01-2029 to 12-31-2029 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source.
A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.106-1 (b).
