The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 on behalf of Hampton VAMC is conducting Market Research through this SOURCES SOUGHT notice to help determine the availability of qualified SDVOSB Businesses, capable of supplying medical waste disposal services for the new Veterans Administration Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Chesapeake, located at 70 Knells Ridge Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23320. The estimated annual poundage of medical waste produced by the medical center is between 180,000 -190,000 pounds.

This is subject to unexpected changes (plus or minus 10 -15 %) due to changes in the medical centers scope of work. Information collected during this Sources Sought may be used in a set aside. If a solicitation is issued, the Government will do so in accordance with Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2024-02, effective 01/22/2024. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 562112. The NAICS size is $47 Million.

Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for veteran owned small business status must be registered with the VIP at veterans.certify.sba.gov. Contractors that deem themselves capable of meeting the requirement shall provide the below information to, Contract Specialist Charlsi Brooker at Charlsi.Brooker@va.gov no-later-than Tuesday, OCTOBER 15, 2024, at 08:00AM, EST, referencing 36C24625Q0081, Medical Waste Disposal Services. Responses shall include:

Include GSA/FSS/NAC Contract Number, if applicable; (4) Point of Contact Name, Phone Number and E-mail Address; (5) SAM # and NAICS code; (6) Business Size SMALL or LARGE; (7) Type of Business: service-disabled veteran owned, veteran owned small business, 8a, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc. Contractor must be registered with https://www.sam.gov.
