The Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO6) will be soliciting for construction services to replace kitchen ventilation hoods at the Richmond VA Medical Center. This project includes demolishing out the entire kitchen hood ventilation system on both sides of the grills and replacing it with new. The new hood must meet all VA requirements, new hood must also be a perfect fit in the provided space. The contractor will be required to provide all materials and tools for the work required, as well as necessary safety equipment, licenses, and expertise. The contractor will also be required to comply with any safety regulations.

236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Size Standard: $49.5 million Place of Performance: 1201 Broad Rock Blvd. Building 500L Richmond, VA 23249 A Request for Proposal (RFP) is contemplated IAW FAR Part 14: An invitation for Bid (IFB) with a 30-day response time after issuance of solicitation. This acquisition is being solicited pursuant to VAAR Subpart 819.70. Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000 and $500,000.

The solicitation, statement of work, wage determination and any other applicable documents will be available via electronic means on this website on or around February 22, 2024. Telephone requests for plans will not be honored. Plans and specifications will also be available for examination without charge at the Contracting Office upon coordination with the assigned Contract Specialist.

Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of the Contractor to obtain all necessary updates/amendments from SAM.GOV. All interested contractors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov) as well as the Small Business Administration s (SBA) Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) database (https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/).

Interested contractors must also have completed the on-line Representations and Certifications to be eligible to receive award and be registered for the applicable NAICS Code 236220. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon interested parties to review this web site frequently for any additional information, updates and amendments.

Notice to Offerors: The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
