INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This is a Special Notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This announcement constitutes the only Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source (SS) and synopsis of proposed action.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO4) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price single award blanket purchase agreement (BPA), with a Base + Four (4) One-Year option periods contract for mobile instrument sharpening and repair services with a period of performance (PoP) 06/01/2025-05/30/2030, Not to Exceed (NTE) 5 years, to Steris Instrument Managements Services, Inc located at 12229 SW 53rd St., Ste. 304, Cooper City, Florida 33330 against Veterans Healthcare Administration (VHA) Federal Supply Schedules (FSS) contract 36F79720D0152 to expire 02/28/2030, for surgical instrument services at the Altoona, Butler, Coatesville, Erie, Lebanon, Philadelphian Pittsburgh Wilkes-Barre, and Wilmington VA Medical Centers.

This sole source award will be in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B). Only one source. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811210, with a small business size standard of $34 million, and the FSC/PSC is J065. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to and award a sole-source firm-fixed price single award BPA: see attached item list. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes.

Interested vendors that can provide this requested service must respond no later than 02/21/2025 by 12:00 PM EST. Interested vendors must send a capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include Company Name, Duns Number, Socioeconomic Category, brief description of your business entities capability to provide these services. All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
