LifePak 1000 is the AED that is utilized throughout VA Finger Lakes Healthcare. Biomed, Clinical and Fire Department are all trained on the devices and the Fire Dept performs monthly maintenance checks on the devices. Biomed currently has 10 back up batteries and wall mounts should they be needed for repairs. LifePak 1000 AED s must be the brand name to ensure continuity throughout the Finger Lakes VA. To procure a different brand would mean training, supplies and monthly inspections on two different brands of AED s See attached Sole Source Justification
