Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters (Bronx) VAMC, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to CENSIS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) (1)(ii) to CENSIS TECHNOLOGIES, INC., located at 4031 ASPEN GROVE DR STE 350 FRANKLIN, TN 37067 for the Censis Zebra TC52-ax PDA Standard Bundle and FIPS Compliant wireless scanner.

This requirement is to maximize the use of the Censis Technologies and Censitrac Instrument Tracking System, which are currently deployed at all VISN 2 medical centers. They are also compatible with the existing system that the Sterile Processing Department currently owns and uses as a direct plug-and-play to ensure compatibility. Thus, it allows instant access to avoid interruptions to the patient. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334118 —Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing.

Salient Characteristics and Unique Specifications:

1. Compatible with the existing software subscription and licensing support for the currently owned Censis Censitrac and InstrumenTrac software modules.

2. Maintain remote access capabilities to the Censitrac software and servers to diagnose and resolve issues while abiding by VA information security and privacy guidelines with technical support 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week via phone support.

3. Provide a utilization assessment comprised of a comprehensive annual review of each site’s Censitrac data along with each site’s department processes to provide a methodical examination of each system.

4. On-site training for all end-users implementing PDAs and scanners in clinical departments across the James J. Peters VAMC.

5. Provide and furnish the Censitrac ScopeTrac Advanced software module and associated software licenses for tracking. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested and capable sources who submit capabilities in support of this requirement are responsible for appropriately marking information if it’s proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. Due to the urgency of the need, this requirement will be sole sourced.

Any capabilities received in response to this notice shall be considered for future requirements. No requests for capability briefings or telephonic inquiries will be honored. The Government intends to execute this award on or about 02 June 2025. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters (Bronx) VAMC, intends to make a sole award to:
