333415 AGENCY: Department of Veterans Affairs; Bath VA Medical Center located at 76 Veterans Avenue, Bath, NY 14810. DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO TRANE U.S. INC. This will be a firm fixed price contract for a 60-ton Air-Cooled Scroll Packaged Chiller that is fully compatible, able to integrate without workarounds, and 100% back-net compliant to communicate with the Trane Tracer Ensemble building management system.

This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source. Due to proprietary constraints, the procurement of any alternate brand would necessitate the complete replacement of the existing infrastructure. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 333415 with a Size Standard of 1,250 employees. This notice of intent to sole source with justification for brand name only satisfies the public posting requirements of FAR 13.501.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made based on proposals or quotations received in response to this notice.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the item(s) sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient to determine that a comparable source to the government is available.

The government may consider all Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to August 15, 2024. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
