904 East Caribbean Drive City, State, Zip: Sunnyvale, California 94089 Award of a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for the procurement of Genexpert test kits for the Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Bath/Canandaigua VA Medical Centers (NCO2). Period of performance will be a base plus four option year.

These tests kits will be used to detect Influenza A&B, SARS Cov2 in nasopharyngeal samples, C. difficile toxin in patient specimens, MRSA/SA in blood cultures and wound samples and Chlamydia and Neisseria gonorrhea in patient specimens. Market research has concluded Cepheid is the only manufacturer to meet the compatibility standardization requirements of NCO2. Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Bath/Canandaigua currently own Cepheid GenXpert instruments and they are validated and already in house.

The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels.

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract, in accordance with FAR 16.202-1. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government.
