The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VISN 2 South), intends to award a sole-source, firm fixed price FSS Delivery Order (FSS-DO) to Werfen USA LLC., FSS Contract # V797D-30108, in accordance with FAR Subpart 8.405-6. The acquisition sought is an FSS-DO that will cover consumables and supplies needed to produce a cost-per-reportable result (CPRR) and for the continued usage of contractor-owned equipment currently on-site at Veterans Affairs Medical Centers below:

 -     James J. Peters VA Medical Center (130 W. Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468-3904); -       East Orange VA Medical Center (385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018-1023); -       Castle Point VA Medical Center (41 Castle Point Road, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590-7004); -       Montrose VA Medical Center (2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, NY 10548-1454); -       Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus (423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010-5011); -       Brooklyn VA Medical Center (800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209-7104); -       Northport VA Medical Center (79 Middleville Road, Building 200, Northport, NY 11768-2200).

VA personnel utilize the equipment and consumables to perform in-house testing of Coagulation CPRR services. The NAICS is 334516 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The current FSS-DO with Werfen USA LLC. will expire on September 30, 2024. The Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VISN 2 Downstate) require an Interim Contract from the Coagulation Long Term Agreement for continuity of patient care. Hence, this FSS-DO is required to avoid unnecessary interruption to the medical facilities.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received no later than COB July 16, 2024 will be considered for the purposes of determining sources for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
