NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:Â Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Advanced Sterilization Products Services Inc, 33 Technology DR Irvine, California 92618-2346 for maintenance and repairs for a quantity of three (3)- ASP Sterrad 100NX & Sterrad Velocity machines and associated accessories, located at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468-3904, to include four (4) option years.

The Department of Veterans Affairs is requesting annual full services to maintain and repair 3 units of the ASP Sterrad 100NX & Sterrad Velocity machines, serial numbers 1047211306, 1047211305, and 43180206656 to manufacturer specification but not limited to; All work shall be in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) standards.

All Preventive Maintenance is to be done as per ASP, previously Johnson & Johnson, as per manufacturer proprietary instructions for Models ASP Sterrad 100NX and Sterrad Velocity. Diagnostics to be checked, sensors checked and cleaned. Contractor to utilize system Maintenance software to perform a new instrument check-in, preventive maintenance tests, calibration checks, calibration, and other maintenance functions as specified by manufacturer.

The contractor shall provide remedial service including all labor, travel and parts if required to repair any malfunction with any of the above listed units. Â NAICS Code is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business Size Standard of $34 million. The classification code is J049 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Maintenance and Repair Shop Equipment.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by May 15th 2024, at 12:00 p.m. (EST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to John.Bolt@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.Â
