The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with:   TECAN US, INC 9401 GLOBE CENTER DRIVE SUITE 140 MORRISVILLE, NC 27560 UEI: EMSJF133EBY9 This is not a solicitation.

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to purchase the TECAN Fluent 780 Automated Liquid Handler, along with all necessary components for full operational capability and installation from TECAN US, Inc, to be installed at VAMC Boston, MA. TECAN US. Inc, is the only company who can provide the system and installation that meets all the needs of VAMC Boston to maintain VA research compliance.

Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities SAM.gov. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  The NAICS 334516. The size standard is 1000 employees.
