Hydro Critical Water Upgrades Intent to Sole Source

VA Connecticut, to include West Haven and Newington requires some small but critical modifications to the existing maintenance contract by Hydro. The following items replace obsolete equipment and improve efficiency. The new adherence to AAMI ST-108 Standard requires that FMS add several new sampling ports along existing critical water systems for the Sterilization Process Service in both West Haven and Newington locations.

Salient Characteristics Hydro RO/DI water purification system located in Newington and West Haven location are custom-designed pieces of equipment. Hydro, designs, builds and engineers every system tailored to the individual needs of each customer and uses proprietary methods in production, and as such is a sole source supplier for same. The DI tanks also follow a proprietary regeneration process and as such are a sole source supplier and owned by Hydro.

This Special Notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than July 18th, 2025, Responses should be sent to Nathan.Langone@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
