Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 DESCRIPTION INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Biofire Torch Extended Warranty Service and Support to Biomerieux Inc. This is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation is available. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO1 intends to award a One-Time, Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source Service Contract for Extended Warranty Service and Support to the Large Business (LB)

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Biomerieux Inc., UEI: HCNVCMEG9NL6, located at 515 S. Colorow Dr, Salt Lake City Utah 84108-1248. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 718 Smyth Road, Manchester NH 03104-7007 has a requirement for a Biofire Torch Extended Warranty Service and Support agreement. The Biofire Service, Support and Maintenance is proprietary to Biomerieux Inc. and is the only authorized vendor able to perform this service.

The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901. The intent is to procure the referenced services on a sole source basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
