The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a SelectCARE Comprehensive EPM plan for MedRad Equipment to be performed at VA Boston Healthcare System with Bayer Healthcare LLC, 100 Bayer Blvd, Whippany, NJ 07081-1544 and obtain preventative and corrective maintenance of the Bayer Injectors. Bayer Injector Units are highly specialized systems and requires OEM expertise for service needs.

No other companies have the expertise, the knowledge, or the proprietary accounts and access needed to adequately service the software and provide the annual upgrades. As such, no other services will meet the agency s needs. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 811210 with a $34.0 Million size standard. The PSC is J065.

The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
