Notice of Intent to Sole Source INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: VACT (VA CONNECTICUT) MEDTRONIC SUPPORT, SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE OF NIM4CM01 NIM 4.0 CONSOLES This is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation is available. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(2) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions.

This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304 (C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) and 6.301-1(c), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, and brand-name descriptions. The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C.

1901. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO1 intends to award a One-Time, Firm Fixed Price, Base and two (2) Option Years, Sole Source Service contract to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

Medtronic USA - UEI: GPRGARK3K6L8 200 Medtronic Dr Lafayette, CO 80026 The NIM Console System is proprietary to Medtronic USA and is the only authorized entity to provide Annual PM & Servicing and Repair. This implementation requires trained Medtronic personnel. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.

This is a written notice to inform the public of the Governments intent to award on a sole source basis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The primary North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811210. The business size for this NAICS is $34.0 Million.
