A-E Extend Steam Location of Project: VA Maine Healthcare System (VAMC Togus), Augusta, Maine 04330 The VA Medical Center Togus in Augusta, ME has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price contract to provide professional Architect/Engineer (A/E) Design Services to prepare construction ready stamped design plans and specifications for the Extend Steam Q1-4 project. The project consists of upgrading the facility infrastructure to support a new steam system in Quarter 1,2,3 and 4 Buildings.

The project shall include, but is not limited to, removal of the existing steam line manhole structure 01 in front of Building 203 and replace with a fully waterproofed precast vault, new steam and condensate lines to connect Quarters 1-4 to steam line from Building 203, and conversion of Quarter 1-4 Buildings back to steam from propane. This scope is comprised of Type A, B and C services which will include concept, design and support through the construction phase of this work.

NAICS and Set-Aside Information: This procurement for Architect & Engineering services is assigned NAICS 541330 Engineering Services which has an SBA size standard of $25.5 million in average revenue. This procurement is a total set-aside for verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
