Notification of the SEC's intent to award a single source Purchase Order to Mergent, Inc.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a fixed-price purchase order on a single source basis to Mergent, Inc., 580 Kingsley Park Dr, Fort Mill, SC 29715-6403. The SEC requires a service that provides historical fixed-income securities data for corporate issuers, on a web-accessible research platform that enables the data to be retrieved and analyzed. The historical range of the data shall date back at least 15 years.

The NAICS code is 519290. The contracting officer has determined that Mergent, Inc. is the only source that can reasonably meet the SEC’s requirement in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) due to exclusive licensing agreements and the service is not available from other sources. The period of performance for the purchase order is anticipated to be one (1) base year with four (4) one (1) year options. The total estimated value of this purchase order is below the simplified acquisition threshold.

The SEC intends to award a purchase order to Mergent, Inc. on or about March 21, 2024. This notice is not a competitive request for proposals. A competitive solicitation will not be issued. However, the government will give consideration to interested parties that identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by the response date of this notice.
